My name is Benajmin Samuel Hersh. I am composer of visual media, contemporary and classical music.
Since I was young, I was always fascinated with the way music can conjure up emotion within film. The way the musical aesthetic can change the way one sees the picture is indictive how music is such an important aspect to film.
I studied harmony and counterpoint with the late Professor Alan Hazeldene from Guildhall Music School and Piano with Professor Ardakov from Trinity college of Music. I also studied singing and voice technique. This helped me to form my music ideas. Although for me I am always wanting to explore other avenues of music.
I have written compositions for adverts and different types of media. And am expanding through meeting new people in the industry. I run a Choir for young and older people alike. Our Choir includes people from all different backgrounds and stages. Some have studied music, while others are beginners.
I write different styles and am always expanding my knowledge in learning other instruments such as violin, recorder, guitar etc. Music is a universal language, and I am interested in all different styles and genres.
